Learn about the Battle of Red Bank and why New Jersey is called "The Crossroads of the American Revolution." Tour the battlefield and enjoy vendors, food, and fun! Cheer on the Jonas Cattell participants at the finish line. Fun, food, and activities for everyone!

Fort Mifflin’s Flagship Event! Commemorate the 246th anniversary of the greatest bombardment of the American Revolution with us! Meet Revolutionary War soldiers and civilians, enjoy musket and cannon demonstrations and living history activities. Each December, thousands of people gather on the banks of the Delaware River to watch the reenactment of George Washington’s daring 1776 Christmas night river crossing. During the event, several hundred reenactors in Continental military dress listen to an inspiring speech by General Washington and then row across the river in replica Durham boats. The first opportunity to witness the reenactment is Sunday, December 10, from 11 AM to 3 PM in the Washington Crossing Historic Park’s Historic Village. The actual crossing begins at approximately 1 PM.

The 71th annual Christmas Day crossing reenactment is set for Monday, December 25, from noon to 3 PM (actual crossing begins at about 1 PM). Admission is free!
In partnership with the Friends of Washington Crossing Park the next meeting of the Washington Crossing Historic Park Book Club is set for Monday, July 17, 2023 at 5:30 PM.
