Learn about different methods of making soap, traditional and modern. Design your own glycerin soap to take home and craft fun, handmade gifts to share with loved ones during the holidays. Ages 10+ (children under 18 must be accompanied by a paid adult).

This event is open to all Augspurger descendants, historical Butler County Amish Mennonite community descendants, members of Friends of Chrisholm, and those interested in learning more about our Friends of Chrisholm organization.

FOC will provide a state of the business update including a walkthrough of the cellar at Chrisholm to see the completed remediation work made possible by the generous donations to the “Save Our Cellar” fundraiser.

Suzanne Roth, MetroParks - Director of Programming & Education will provide an update on happenings at Chrisholm.

Our guest speaker will be Eric Burgess who will give a talk on A Volcano and The Year Without Summer - How They Changed Ohio.

The cost of the luncheon will be $15 per person. Please RSVP through the website https://www.chrisholmhistoricfarmstead.org/donate.php or by completing the form on the last page of the newsletter.

On site Sign In will open at 10:30 am.

Hello friends! Join us for the 107TH Augspurger Reunion / Friends of Chrisholm Annual Meeting Saturday June 15, 11:00am to 1:30pm.

This event is open to all Augspurger descendants, historical Butler County Amish Mennonite community descendants, members of Friends of Chrisholm, and those interested in learning more about the FOC organization.

FOC will provide an update on current activities including progress with our “Save Our Cellar” fundraiser followed by a walkthrough of the cellar at Chrisholm.

Our guest speaker, Fred Iutzi of Bloomington, IL, is an agronomist interested in long-term sustainability for agriculture and communities. He is a descendant of our historical Amish Mennonite community and will deliver a talk titled “Perennial Lessons from the Past For Agriculture of the Future”.

Event includes luncheon - $15 per person.

Thanks to everyone who attended the Make & Take pie making event at the Chrisholm Historic Farmstead. Carmon Hacker presented this program and demonstrated how to make a Pat 'a Pan buttermilk pie, a traditional Amish favorite. Attendance was outstanding and everyone enjoyed a selection of pie samples provided by Carmon. All participants left with a pie crust to take home and bake.
