The Trent House joins the Old Mill Hill Society, Mercer Cemetery at Trenton, Artworks Trenton, and the Old Barracks in an afternoon of history, music, art, and beautiful gardens on Saturday, June 6, 2026. The Trent House will be open from 12 noon to 6 pm with ice cream, live music (cuatro, drums, and jazz), crafts and games for children, and presentation of a Great Migration story.

As part of Trenton's celebration of our nation's founding, the Trent House will hold its annual Ice Cream Social on June 6th, 2026, in partnership with Trenton Puerto Rican Community & Friends and the Old Mill Hill Society's Garden Tour.

Free activities will include ice cream, live music - cuatro, drumming, and swing jazz, crafts and games for children, and a Great Migration love story.

Enjoy an afternoon of beauty, art, history, music, and ice cream in Trenton on Saturday June 6, 2026. Visit the gardens in the Mill Hill neighborhood, watch painters at work in Mercer Cemetery, enjoy ice cream and music at the Trent House, and take part in living history at the Old Barracks. NJ PBS will broadcast this one-hour documentary on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at 9:00 PM, and the National Educational Telecommunications Association (NETA) will distribute to public television stations nationwide on July 1.
