Featured Today: “The Greatest Generation - Canvas”

Limited to an edition of 75 signed and numbered
Size: 16"w x 16"h

New storms bring back memories of old ones. Country, duty, and a life free from fear came at a cost to Chuck's generation, which, until recently, was taken for granted. Yet it will be by following their footsteps that we can best provide our grandchildren with the freedoms we so enjoy. This painting combines elements from both John's "Facing the Storms" and Grady series. In speaking about the inspiration for this work, John said "If we all face the storm together, we're going to make it."

It’s World Art Day! Art is a vital part of cultures worldwide, shaping everything from our homes to public spaces. In many global cities, art isn’t just decoration—it’s woven into a place's identity.

Some of the special places we love, big and small, wouldn’t be the same without artwork.

Here’s a little art for your feed to celebrate all the conversations and moments of inspiration created by art over the years.

From my collection, this is: "The Oldest Angel - Canvas"

Shop At: https://www.beavercreekgallery.com

Limited to an edition of 350 signed and numbered
Size 13"w x 17"h

"The idea for this ancient angel came to me completely out of the blue," says artist James Christensen. "He started as a drawing in my sketchbook and he looked like he had been around forever. I imagine him at almost the farthest reaches of eternity. Every night he climbs up that little trail and holds out his candle. You can make up your own story about him. Where is he? Why is he here? Maybe he likes this spot. Maybe he's been up there, watching, since before the beginning of the world." This oldest angel seems even more poignant as a symbol of eternal and almost defiant hope.

Are you making the most of your wall space? When displaying artwork, it’s not just about what you hang—it’s also about how you hang it.

For taller, narrow spaces, portrait-oriented art works best, while wider spaces are better suited for horizontal pieces. Keeping these principles in mind can make a big difference in a room’s flow and feel.

Another key tip: hang artwork at eye level whenever possible. The center should sit around 57–60 inches from the floor for a natural, balanced look.
