The Pioneer Museum of Alabama has 15,000 square feet of indoor exhibits from farm implements to musical instruments. 17 buildings are on the grounds including a one-room school house, log church, covered bridge and a general store We will achieve our Mission through experiential and cross-generational educational programming artifact rich, primary source supported exhibitions dynamic community en

gagement offerings cultivation of an esteemed membership altruistic and service opportunities heritage preservation and advocacy outreach for fading/lost folkart tradition. That hands-on learning truly encourages retention and passion that there is a deep satisfaction in crafting an object with your own hands. That we recognize our early settlers and indigenous people laid the cornerstones for our future.

A huge thank you to the young men and leaders of Scouting America Troop 41. They camped out this past Friday and Saturday at the museum and got up leaves, sticks and limbs across the property. Saturday night they held a flag retirement ceremony. We love our scouts and so appreciate the help they provide at the museum.
