The Swisher County Archives and Museum The museum houses unique artifacts from several eras including the Indians, Pioneers, cowboys and military just to name a few. Come in for a visit.

We are in the Swisher County Memorial Bldg. 127 sw 2nd. Join us SATURDAY DEC. 4th 10-1 PM for the Swisher County Museum's Fundraising "SILENT AUCTION" starting Monday November 21st! We have received some beautiful Christmas items, paintings and other interesting items and will until Dec. 3rd.Also Dec. 3rd 10-12 BOOK SIGNING of the award nominated book "THE BLOWN- UP MAN" by Tulia author Nina Bla

Thanksgiving week the museum will be open Monday- Wednesday 9-4. Hours Mon- Fri. 9-4 or call 806-995-2819 if we can pick up an item or stay late for you!

We had a special visitor this past Saturday. Quanah Parker's Great Grandson Donnie Parker. He sang comanche blessing over his Great grandfathers medicine lodge robe as well as blessing our Kenneth Wyatt exhibit praising his great talent. As he was readying to leave he chanted a song of respect for the buffalo exhibit, retelling how this mighty animal provided for his people.
