Alpha Rho Tau Civic Art Association is celebrating its 85th year of service to the Tulsa community. It was established in 1930 by Dr. Adah Robinson as a co-educational honorary art fraternity, while she was Head of the Art Department at the University of Tulsa. A.R.T. also provides scholarships each year to deserving art majors at local universities. meets the third Monday of each month at 6:30 pm, March thru November at the Hardesty Library, 8316 E. 93rd St. (93rd & Memorial). There is a program at each meeting presented by artists either giving a demonstration of a particular medium and style or providing a talk about some aspect of art such as concept, composition, values, chroma, or edges. We engage artists from the local area, across Oklahoma and surrounding states. Our Exhibit Chair provides numerous opportunities for members to exhibit their art in various venues in the local area. Come join our membership of over a hundred strong and get involved in the Tulsa art community, sharing our love and appreciation of art.
