My ribbon winner of this past weekend’s Mvskoke Art Market. A big thanks to Creek Nation for an excellent art market! “Hunter Whose Arrows Never Miss” made from hand processed Oklahoma clay, coil formed. Burnished with a stone and wood fired last week in this crazy windy Ok weather…

Part of the process of preparing “wild” clay that has been cleaned. The clay been in a bucket for several months and is now thick enough to pour on a canvas board to absorb more water. Can’t let it get too dry but stickie enough to ball together for final wedging. Notice the little coil around my finger…it didn’t break up👍🏽It has enough natural fine sand that didn’t sift out to help with drying and firing🤞🏾
Now onto…turtle..frog..fish or whatever effigy form I hope for it to be😍

I actually entered early🤞🏾
