Valerie Brown was the tambourinest for the premiere of Josie and the P***y Cats a comic girl group and one of the best mystery solving crews, and trailblazing characters in comics.

The first black female lead and first regular featured black character in morning cartoons, after the Harlem Globetrotters and a Hardy Boys character which was not voiced by a black person.

Valerie was voiced by Barbra Pariot, another black actress, but owes her existence to Patrice Halloway who was related to Motown’s Brenda Halloway (her younger sister). With the launch of the show which was a tv made band (alá the partridges and monkeys) the music producer and writer Danny Jansen casted Halloway.

He wanted a Jackson 5 pop sound and attributing her vocals was the magic that was needed in the group.

Though pressure to maintain an all-white trio which had already been featured in the early Archie Comics Halloway’s vocals with support from cartoonist Valerie Brown was born. Halloway would sing lead on many tracks.

Valerie would go on to be the smart, sensible, genius of the group. Other black cartoon characters would not come for years.

Mark Twain and his close companion, John T. Lewis, were captured standing side by side at Quarry Farm in Elmira, New York, back in 1903. Many have speculated that Lewis served as the inspiration for the character "Jim" in Twain's famous novel, "Huckleberry Finn."
John T. Lewis, born a freedman in Maryland in 1835, eventually settled in Elmira, NY.

One fateful day, as he was returning from the market, his life took an unexpected turn. A carriage pulled by a runaway horse came hurtling down the road towards him, carrying three terrified women. Reacting swiftly, Lewis leaped from his wagon and managed to grasp the bridle, bringing the horse to a stop and saving the lives of the frightened passengers.

The women turned out to be the wife, daughter, and nurse of the wealthy Charles Langdon family, residents of Quarry Farm. As Charles Langdon was related to Samuel Clemens (known by his pen name, Mark Twain), the family was deeply grateful to Lewis for his heroic act. General Langdon presented Lewis with a generous check of one thousand dollars and later gifted him a gold watch engraved with a heartfelt message, commemorating the date of the brave rescue.

During this incident, Mark Twain happened to be visiting Quarry Farm and witnessed Lewis's heroism. In admiration and appreciation, Twain personally bestowed fifty dollars and a set of books with inscriptions to Lewis. With these gifts, Lewis was able to clear his entire sixty-four-acre farm. Furthermore, he became employed by the Langdons on Quarry Farm, strengthening his bond with Mark Twain.

This bond between Lewis and Twain grew into a close and enduring friendship that lasted for over three decades. The two were often photographed together, especially during Twain's visits to the Langdon residence, where he frequently engaged in his writing.

Twain once expressed, "I have not known a honester man or a more respect-worthy one." when referring to his esteemed friend John T. Lewis.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has opened up exciting possibilities for creativity. What used to take hours to create Art, often only take a few minutes.

How did I create this in Ai?
I simple thought about what I wanted to create and wrote the "Prompts" to make it happen.

Example: A beautiful African American woman sitting down wearing a black and white dalmatian coat, a red dress, high heels, and a classy hat, holding her dalmatian dog in her arms, in a park scene.

‘Potato King of The World’, Farmer, landowner and businessman, Junius G. Groves (1859-1925), was one of the wealthiest African Americans of the early 20th century.

Born enslaved in Green County, Kentucky, Groves was later liberated and joined other freedmen in the “Great Exodus” to Kansas in 1879, eventually finding work as a farmhand.

Impressed with his strong work ethic and production, Groves’ employer offered him nine acres of land to farm on shares. By 1884, he and his wife Matilda had saved enough to purchase 80 acres of land near Edwardsville, Kansas.

So successful was their venture that, just four years later, they had acquired a total of 2,000 acres and replaced their one-room shanty with a 22-room mansion.

Groves made a name for himself as a potato grower, producing as many as 721,500 bushels in one year – far and away more than any other farmer – and earning the title of “Potato King of the World.”

He also operated a general store, maintained several orchards, and had investments in various mining and banking interests. Groves worked the farm until his death in 1925.

He attributed his success to the endless hard work and devotion of his wife and 12 children.
