The Tyrone Area Historical Society deeply mourns the passing of local historian and one of our favorite authors, Jeffrey Lynn Adams.
Born in Tyrone and a graduate of Tyrone Area High School (Class of 1978), Jeff devoted his life to preserving the stories, photographs, and heritage of our community and the surrounding region. His passion for antiques and history, along with his remarkable knowledge of local families and events, made him a treasured resource and friend to many.
Jeff authored several beloved *Images of America* books, including:
• Tyrone (2009)
• Juniata River Valleys (2010)
• Around Blair County (2011)
• Harrisburg (2013)
Many of these works are staples in our museum's bookstore, and continue to educate visitors about the rich history of our region.
Through his writing, Jeff ensured that the stories of Central Pennsylvania would not be forgotten!
