Union County Museum Open Wed-Sat, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mother's Day through September
Admission: General, $5; Seniors,$4; Students (K-12 & college), $3; children under 6, free.

Membership & season pass starting at $10. Guests frequently call the museum a real gem and a little-known area treasure. The collection of museum items is creatively exhibited in dioramas and well designed displays. Visitors can access photos and archived books for research on family history.

The Union County Museum in Union, Oregon, is open Wednesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Join us for the June Third Tuesday event, at 7 p.m. in the Little White Church, across Main Street from the museum. The topic is Ladd Marsh Wildlife Area. In July, watch for information about a replay of the popular Fun in the Courtyard, offering craft making and homemade ice cream.

We're getting ready for the annual Season Opening open house this Mother's Day, May 10, from 1 to 4 p.m. Join us as we celebrate our 55th anniversary of presenting Union County's history through this acclaimed museum. The museum opened in the historic bank building and annex in 1971 and has expanded over the years to include two additional buildings and cover about half a block along Union's Main Street. Please come meet the board of directors and volunteer hosts, enjoy refreshments and some special activities, and explore this jewel and see what's new. We hope to see you this Sunday! Admission is free for the opening event.
Regular days and hours after the opening are Wednesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Union County Museum is preparing for their annual yard sale September 12 and 13. Donations of items are needed and appreciated. No clothes at this time. Join us in the Little White Church in Union, Oregon, across Main Street from the museum, for our August Third Tuesday event, August 19th, at 7 p.m. The Small Town Girls will perform traditional folk music and contra dance tunes. Toward the end of their concert, you'll be invited to learn a few contra dance steps from instructor and caller Carla Arnold. Admission is free and it's fun for all ages, so bring along Grandma and the kiddos!

The Small Town Girls, a group of local musicians, will perform traditional songs and contra dance music at the Union County Museum’s Third Tuesday Event in their Little White Church in Union, Tuesday, August 19, beginning at 7 p.m.
The group has been performing together at events and venues around Eastern Oregon, including recently at the North Powder Huckleberry Festival.
This event will conclude with contra dance music and the opportunity for those in the audience to get up and try a couple of the traditional dances. Carla Arnold will do the calling and instruction.
The Little White Church is located right beside City Hall on South Main Street in Union, across the street from the Union County Museum. Admission to the event is free and the public is welcome. Please come share a fun evening with friends and neighbors.

The Union County Museum is pleased to be located in the heart of Union’s annual Grassroots Festival activities. We're extending our hours and will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and admission is FREE for the day. We invite you to take a break from the sun and stop in to say “hi.” We have some fun new t-shirts in the gift shop.
If you’ve never visited, you'll find there is much more to the museum than you may have thought! Come discover your own connection with the past.

Join museum patrons, volunteers and board members at the Union County Museum Tuesday, July 15th, for their Third Tuesday event and enjoy these summer favorites. Admission is free to the Summer Crafts, Cookies & Ice Cream Social and the public is welcome! Activities take place in the Union County Museum courtyard, beginning at 7 p.m. and will go until dark.

Choose from the craft stations in the courtyard, where you can try your hand at creating different crafts, some of which your ancestors may have made. Try one or try them all! Among the crafts are corn husk dolls, paper art, knitting, painting on rocks, and a weaving loom will be available to try a row or two, as well. Volunteer instructors will provide the supplies and show you how to exercise your creativity. Union Carnegie Public Library is partnering with us to make an this an event to remember.

Museum members are providing home-baked cookies and ice cream will be made on site. Bring copies of your favorite family cookie recipe to share!

The Union County Museum is located at 333 South Main Street in Union. Enter the museum through the Main Street entrance and you’ll be guided to the courtyard.
