Artisans at the Dahmen Barn is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that cultivates creativity on the Palouse by providing studio space for working artists, a venue for local performing and exhibiting artists, and creative experiences for children and adults through classes and workshops. The state-of-

the-art facility has been transformed from a former dairy barn. Attractions include a gift shop featuring art, fine crafts and products from the Palouse, artisans at work in their studio spaces who will share their creative process with visitors and from whom purchases may be made directly, a monthly art exhibition, and regularly scheduled classes and performance events. Four big events are held each year: A demonstration day in April, a summer tea, a fall festival in September and a Holiday Gala with gifts galore in December. There are also numerous visual and performing arts events each month - check the calendar page. The event space may be rented along with the commercial kitchen. Sold 3 original works of art today from the Caeruleum exhibit.
Thanks to a very good customer and an amazing supporter of the arts. I was just thinking what a beautiful exhibit and one small piece sold on opening day.

Exhibit does until Sunday lots of beautiful works of art the not marked sold are still available plus many more. Stop in and take a look or better yet purchase an original work of art and make an artist day.

If you are planning on coming to the Artisans at the Dahmen Barn today the south end of parkway is closed please use the north parkway turn off to get to the barn. A tree blew over last night in the windstorm and they are working on removing it now.

An awesome weekend at Artisans at the Dahmen Barn visitors from Arizona, Hawaii, California all stumbled upon our amazing art center. Locals and visitors enjoyed music by the Morgan Brothers. Thank you to those that brought their moms out for a Saturday evening pre Mother's Day celebration.

Visitors purchased great local art. We heard more than once how much they were impressed at what an amazing place we have and all the variety all in one place.
Thank you to all the musicians who perform here and all the resident and local artists who teach and supply us with great art and craft. You make us who we are.

A big shout out to our board of directors and volunteers who help make it happen.

If you need some calm in your life, we have just what you need. The Caeruleum the May Exhibit the calming blue effect apparent. The calming waters in a Wallow Glacier by Beth Ann Rimmelspacher to "Quiet Pond" by Cindy Goldman the soothing blues in sculptures by Theresa Henson and Linda Hyatt Cancel captured the Blue Hour. John Sebastian infused blue in his contemporary paintings.

The Opening reception is Sunday May 3, 1 pm to 3 pm.
The exhibit goes through May 31.
