A Memorial Day remembrance - this 1920 photograph shows the funeral procession of Christopher T. Rourke of Unionville, killed in action in France on October 30, 1918, during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive, just days before the end of World War I. Veterans of the Yankee Division and fellow servicemen accompanied the caisson from the center of Unionville to St. Mary’s Cemetery on Huckleberry Hill after his remains were returned home from France

Here's a fun ad from a 1928 issue of the Farmington Valley Herald and thought it's timely given all the talk lately about the cost of gas. I grew up in Unionville and got my license in the early 60s. I remember gas being .28 cents a gallon then. Anyone else remember what it was when they started driving?

As part of the Unionville Museum’s current exhibit, Lovelytown: Unionville Milestones, Landmarks and People, we’re holding a presentation at the Museum on Wednesday, May 13 at 6 PM, and walking tours on Saturday and Sunday, May 16 and 17 at 1 PM and 3 PM. The 1-mile walk begins at the Museum each day. No reservations needed—just come, enjoy, and learn about our rich history!

Unionville Milestones, Landmarks, and People. A special museum exhibition celebrating Unionville's rich and enduring history in celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary. The exhibit will be open Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 2-4 pm through June 28th.
