Featured artist Kevin Lyles says his work is molded by a myriad of influences, and that more often than not, he is inspired by things he sees in nature—the inherent patterns, contrasts, textures, and contradictions.

When creating sculpture, he combines these natural properties with the elements and principles of design to create work that both interests and challenges him.

Featured artist Jodi Reeb is a visual, fine artist from Minneapolis specializing in fine-art abstract, collage, sculptural, contemporary, landscape, acrylic and encaustic paintings.

The process of change in nature is a constant source of wonder and inspiration that she tries to mimic in her work through the combination of beeswax, acrylic paint and texture. This process of change and transformation is supported by integrating many different media such as collage, encaustic (molten beeswax), printmaking and acrylic paint on various sustainable substrates.

Featured artwork is “Primary Chroma Series”, encaustic (beeswax) and metallic paint on acrylic panels, 50” x 50” x 2”.

Being both a painter and an illustrator has given M.P. Wiggins an opportunity to live in many different worlds. She has worked with publishers and art directors to create art for magazines, books, posters, calendars, and CD covers, but her first love is painting, although “painting” may not be enough of a word to describe the building up of a canvas with paper, found objects, paint, charcoal, more paint, and varnish.

She uses musical notations and parts of scores as well as printed newspaper material in her collages-often superimposed upon the alphabet, a primal and primary intellectual structure, and brilliant reds, purples and greens to suggest emotional states through artist representation.

Featured artwork is “The Solution to Everything”, mixed media on canvas, 36’ x 36’.
