Shakespeare discussion group. Shakpeare and the Early Modern/Renaissance period in England and the world We will find a public place where we can talk, drink, eat & be merry. Seriously!

The objective of this group is to learn from each other through books, Theater & Film versions of Shakespeare's work and the works that inspired the writing of the 39 plays, Sonnets & Poems that encompass Shakespeare's complete works. This is not a forum for intellectual superiority but a group that enjoys life & is open minded. An important note is that this is not a religious forum. Keep your religious beliefs to yourselves.

If you have a favorite Shakespeare sonnet which one is it? Mine is Sonnet number 2, Shakespeare is telling a kept man who is Young still and is also a beauty gluten that when he is 40 years old no one's going to want to keep him so in his best interest he should start a family. Try to dissect this Sonnet and post what you feel is the correct interpretation.
