Tonight, The Tram will be hosting a raffle ticket fundraiser to help our dear friend Raynboe raise funds to cover funeral expenses for her late father.

If you’re in the area, stop in, grab some tickets, and stick around for game night!

If you’re unable to make it to The Tram but would still like to contribute, please follow the GoFundMe link attached and donate whatever you can.

We’re excited to announce the addition of artist and filmmaker John Knecht to the 4 Elements Studio Art Legacy Program.

The Art Legacy Program was created to preserve and showcase the works of artists living and working in the Mohawk Valley. Through cataloging, digitizing, exhibiting, and documenting their work, the program highlights the artists who have helped shape and inspire our local arts community. A rotating selection of artwork from participating artists is currently on view at 4 Elements Studio, featuring pieces from different stages of their creative careers.

Future plans for the program include the development of an online archive and database, storage and restoration opportunities, expanded exhibitions, and community outreach and educational programming.

John Knecht has been a practicing film and video artist since 1973. His films, animations, and multi-channel video installations have been exhibited widely throughout the United States and internationally. His work has been featured in venues and exhibitions connected to the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Everson Museum, Bard College, the Vienna Film Festival, the Urban Video Project, and many others.

Knecht’s work explores animation, experimental film, technology, memory, and contemporary culture through layered visual storytelling and immersive installation work. His animation “Curiosities From the Anthropocene” was selected for the 2021 Athens International Film and Video Festival and the RPM Festival, while works from his “Fragments from the Wheels of Ezekiel” series were acquired for the permanent collection of the Munson.

John Knecht is the Russell Colgate Distinguished Professor of Art and Art History and Film and Media Studies Chair, Emeritus at Colgate University, and currently lives and works in Hubbardsville, New York.

We are honored to help preserve and share his incredible body of work as part of the growing Art Legacy Program at 4 Elements Studio.
