We hope you all are staying safe and warm. It was a chilly start to the day and while we do anticipate another cold morning on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, temps are excepted to rise to the 50s so we will be open from 9:30 am - 4:30 pm and ready to welcome you! With great sadness we share the passing of our Executive Director, Zeb Mayhew Jr. His dedication and vision for Oak Alley was unwavering and we will honor his legacy through our continued efforts of preserving this National Historic Landmark.

Hold fast to that which is good.

Zeb Mayhew, Jr, died peacefully at his second home in Slidell, Louisiana, on October 31, 2025. Born on October 30,1943 in Venezuela, where his father worked for Creole Petroleum, he was the son of Zeb and Ruby Odom Mayhew. When his father was promoted to an executive position with Standard
