This Memorial Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. From the patriots of the American Revolution to those who have defended liberty across generations, we remember their courage, sacrifice, and devotion to the cause of freedom.

May we never take lightly the blessings secured by those who gave their “last full measure of devotion.” As descendants and stewards of our Revolutionary heritage, we remain committed to preserving the memory of those who served and sacrificed for the United States of America.

We wish all a meaningful and reflective Memorial Day. 🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸

Did you miss “Grave Tales”, the guided tour of our historic cemetery on November 8 ? Then you missed a special evening! More than 100 people turned out for this special event, done in partnership with Washington Memorial Heritage and the Historical Society of King of Prussia. The weather was perfect, as guests made their way under a bright Harvest moon to the resting places of heroes and historic figures.

The 25 acre cemetery, located at rhe rear of the campus, was designed in 1911 by renowned landscape architect Thomas Sears who also designed the gardens at Appleford in Bryn Mawr and the Mt. Cuba Botanical Garden Center in Delaware among other significant sites.

Some of the gravesites visited included Alexandra Scott, founder of Alex’s Lemonade; Lucille Polk Carter Reeves, survivor of the Titanic; Fr. W. Herbert Burk, founder of Washington Memorial Chapel; Philander Knox, U.S. Attorney General under William McKinley and Theodore Roosevelt, Buck Taylor, the original cowboy in Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show; Louis Nacke, hero of Flight 93 on September 11 and others.

After the tour, guests relaxed and enjoyed hot cider and cookies in the cozy warmth of the Cabin Shop Cafe.
