After 19 years, tomorrow Saturday March 22nd will be our final day open to the public. Stop by for a visit today or tomorrow, it would be great to see you!
I want to say what an absolute honor it has been to work with all of the amazing artists that I've represented at the gallery throughout the years. They are all such talented, hardworking, passionate, visionary, generous and most importantly truly some of the kindest people walking the planet. I'm a better person having known them all. Thank you to all of the artists who have been a part of the gallery and my life!
These past 4 months since I have announced the closure of the gallery have been an overwhelming time with so many folks coming by, buying artwork, telling me a story or two about their visits to the gallery over the years, or just popping in to say how sorry they were to hear about the gallery closing. All of it has meant more to me than you will ever know. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your support of myself, the gallery and our artists. It's something that will stick with me the rest of my life.
To the Friends of the Arts who believed in me and gave me the keys to the shop and let me run with it and my vision, Leslie, Jan, Susan, Deb and Shirley, thank you. You gave me the opportunity of a lifetime to be able to do something I love so dearly.
Art is important. What artists do is important. Art adds so much value, love and joy to our lives. While the gallery will no longer be here, if you are a fan of any of our artists, I hope you will take the time to follow them on social media, find what other galleries represent them, visit their artist websites etc. They will continue to create incredible artwork, and they could use all of the support they can get.
Thank you again to everyone who has ever walked through our doors, enjoyed the art, came to openings, visited our website, purchased artwork, gave a kind comment while visiting, or a quiet smile. This has been a dream job for me to do this as long as I have, and I will miss it dearly and each and every one of you.
