The latest reduction woodcut print by Jean is Frog on the Moon. This one was inspired by my immediate surroundings, our WabiSabi world. The frog appeared in the greenhouse among the giant tomato plants and was too handsome to be ignored. To help him out, the deep red amaranth that I planted outside our main entrance just keep getting more beautiful as they grow taller. Add a few white rose campion, and you may sense the enchantment that is Vashon Island in the summer. Like a fairy tale...

I live on a very special island. On Friday night, there was a First Friday Art Walk combined with a big Pride celebration as well as expressions of political concerns all together, all at once, and it was glorious! This new reduction woodcut print of mine is titled Sing Your Song, much in the spirit of that evening. Don't let anybody squelch your joy. Sing loud, like our ever present robins. At WabiSabiStudios and eventually at Swiftwater Gallery.
