I just finished painting a bunny commission which is on its way to Wisconsin. Now I'm thinking I'd like to do two small paintings of my pugs, Lulu and Nigel. I've already done nice ones of Newman and Sassy but my early paintings of Lulu, though good, were done when I was just starting to do dog portraits. So I'm going to do one of her from a photo an old boyfriend took, and another of Nigel that a good friend took. They deserve a closeup portrait and I'll add them to my pug art gallery. After that or while working on those, I'm going to paint some vegetables from 5 Acre Farm.

Today at the gallery I worked on a couple of projects that came in to the frame shop (Frank’s Hangup). One was an old still life which had areas of missing paint. The owner wanted it touched up before framing it. The other project was a dog portrait that was painted by a Minnesota artist. The background of the painting was all white and the owner asked me to add color to the background. I didn’t touch the dog (Elwood) but added some green and now he’s grounded and no longer floating in space. Great success!
