The Daneville Heritage Museum strives to celebrate and document the Danish roots of the Viborg area and record the achievements of the Danish immigrants making settlement in southeastern Dakota Territory in pursuit of the American Dream in the New World. We care about sharing the history of Danish-Americans and Viborg's local history with the Viborg area and beyond, and we appreciate your support!

Mange Tak to Lynn and Gloria for sharing two of his metal sculptures at the museum. These were placed this week and can be viewed anytime on the lot located just east of our main entrance on Park Avenue. We are so excited that the Petersons chose to display these art pieces at the museum. In addition, there is a display case featuring Lynn's work in the art room of the museum. Stop in to see this during our open hours (9-2 every Thursday and Friday and the 1st and 3rd Saturday and the 2nd and 4th Wednesday).
