The Vinton Historical Society was honored to celebrate Virginia 250 by presenting, "Land and Liberty, The Vinton Story". We will be forever grateful for David Walton Jr. for writing the wonderful commissioned play about a chapter in Vinton's history. The story was brought to life by a very gifted group of eight actors directed by David Walton Jr. and assistant director, Donna Minnix Proctor. The Society also appreciates the collaboration of Roanoke Bear Theatre. They provided valuable expertise with ticketing, advertising, costuming, and volunteers. In addition, Thrasher Memorial United Methodist Church provided the perfect setting for the play in the 107 year-old chapel. We also appreciate the beautiful 18th century music played the Roanoke Valley Dulcimers. Furthermore, we appreciate every person who attended the play this past weekend!

Bravo, "Land and Liberty, The Vinton Story" cast and crew!
