It’s a difficult task to articulate the unique energy of an opening night.
After hours and hours of self-produced work, vision, dreams, and mastery on display- it is a night to celebrate the collection and the artist behind it. A night made even more special by a demonstration that shared a glimpse into what it means to create the work.
Thank you, Artist - Mike Lane, for allowing our collectors and artist community the privilege of witnessing Chinese sumi-e firsthand. To see the movement, intention, discipline, and freedom behind each mark was a beautiful reminder that the finished work is only part of the story.
We are so grateful to have shared this evening with you and to have had the opportunity to experience not only the collection, but a glimpse into the process, practice, and spirit behind it.
