We had yachts of fun this afternoon documenting some shipwreck pieces that were washed up from this weekends storm! 🚢🌧

The ships exact identity remains unknown for now, but we hope to do further research in identifying the names and time frames of these pieces!

Are you enjoying the holiday season? We are! ☃️

Yesterday was the annual Santa on the Beach, put together by the VB Lifeguard Association. Children, families, and pets all got to take photos with Santa and his festive lifeguard stand! 🎅🏽

We also got busy decorating! If you’re passing the museum (or booking an off season tour on our website!) check out our dolphin reindeer flying by the door! 🐬🦌

Our last day open this season was yesterday and it went swimmingly! 🐬

We were glad to welcome Boyscout Troop 111 in to explore the museum and learn about coastal maritime history in Virginia Beach! A few retired Coast Guard members also stopped in for tours and to check out our historic lookout tower. The 40% Off Anniversary Sale was a big hit with everyone who came into the giftshop and we hope they enjoyed their time at the museum!

We are now closed for the season, while new displays & exhibits will be put up! Reminder that private tours & events are still available at the museum by appointment only. To schedule please visit our website and look at the “visit us” section. 🏖
