Today we had the winter walk when Mark shows the public how the wood duck nest boxes get cleaned out and refreshed with wood chips for the nesting season. Many times there are eastern screech owls in the boxes. There were 2 gray phase and 1 red phase (same species, different color morphs). What an exciting day because it was also warm enough for the spring peepers and green frogs to give us a spring cacophony! Look for many more spring activities at the Historic Dreibelbis Farm!

We had a great ice harvest this year at the Historic Dreibelbis Farm in Virginville, PA. Finally a year with substantial ice (13-15” thickness)! Enjoy the montage of so many people trying their hand at something new and a few furry friends to cheer them on.
