On Monday, March 30, the Texas Tennis Hall of Fame was honored to be part of the Fayez Sarofim & Co US Men's Clay Court Championship at River Oaks Country Club in Houston.

Houston-area inductees in attendance included Sammy Giammalva, Cindy Benzon, Bev Taylor, Emily Schaefer, Chris Bovett, Chuck Sanchelli, Tommy Connell, Linda Thomas, and Lori McNeil. Together, they were recognized for their lasting impact on the game of tennis in Texas and were honored with a standing ovation from the crowd.

A standout moment was Hall of Fame inductee Emily Schaefer participating in the opening coin toss.

Thank you to the tournament for showcasing the rich history of Texas tennis on such a prestigious stage.

North Texas members of the Texas Tennis Hall of Fame were recognized on court during the Dallas Open Tennis on Thursday, February 12, celebrating their lasting contributions to the game and the growth of tennis across Texas.

Hall of Famer Kathy Langer performed the ceremonial coin toss for the second match of the day between Denis Shapovalov and Aleksandar Kovacevic.

Between the first and second sets, Hall of Fame members Barbara Camp, Jim Chaffin, Joyce Dreslin, Jerry Geyman, Laura Gilbert, Kathy Langer, Wayne Leavitt, Ken Sumrow, Betty Sue Welch, and Carol Weyman were honored in an on-court recognition ceremony.
