It's Throwback Thursday again! This particular video was recorded on VHS in 2001, and features member Ted Sonderman giving membership a presentation on some troubleshooting approaches to antique radio using something a bit unconventional - a Spectrum Analyzer! It's very informative. Enjoy!

You know it's Thursday when the NJARC posts a Throwback Thursday video!

This is a recording of club Member Rob Flory giving the membership a presentation and demonstration on how to use an oscilloscope to troubleshoot radio circuitry.

Several years later, the NJARC held a joint presentation event with Alan Wolke that we called our Oscilloscope Clinic. That video is also available on our YouTube Channel!

Hi folks, another Thursday is here, and another Throwback video is warranted!

This week's topic is 1940s Television (just because radio is in our club name doesn't mean we don't like moving pictures!). Member John Ruccolo gave our club a presentation in November of 2001 on 1940s television and what made these earlier sets different from sets that will come later (and no, we don't mean because they are in black and white!)

John not only orates about the technological differences, but demonstrates some (mostly) working sets from his personal collection, with some helping hands from other club members who know how to whip these older sets into shape.

I hope you all enjoy the presentation!

To all our members, followers and fans, thank you all for your continued support. We are doing what we can to continue to share our efforts on preserving the history and knowledge of the origins of radio and related technology.

We don't advertise for donations or hound for subscribers in our YouTube videos. You all get enough of that elsewhere on the web!

With that said, we are going to ask you for a favor, and we promise we will keep these requests rare!

Our YouTube channel, youtube.com/njarc, is very close to hitting the monetization threshold, we are less than 200 hours or watched material away! If you haven't been watching lately, have been saving videos for later, etc, now would be a great time for you to do that, as your support at this time will impact us more positively than usual!

We are a non-profit and getting the income from YouTube, no matter how much it will be, will really help us out.

We are going to continue to share our content as long as we can, but if you were wondering how to give back, this is an easy way.

Ok, now that that is over, enjoy this pretty picture of the WLW antenna one of our members took in December.
