“[Tufting] allows for spontaneity, experimentation, and a physical engagement with the work that I find deeply rewarding.” – Camilla Iliefski

In Uneven Sky, plants and organic forms emerge not from nature, but from pure imagination and intuition. It’s an exploration of organic growth, movement, and transformation through vibrant color, rich texture, and fluid form.

In her sculptural tufting works, textile artist Maja Michaelsdotter transforms everyday life - a cat, an egg, a placenta - into bold, colorful explorations of existence.

By playing with scale and setting, Michaelsdotter brings a touch of absurdity and humor to the heavy, vulnerable reality of our biological bodies and minds. Raw, honest, and striking, her work celebrates the raw force of life in all its strange beauty.

“I am a textile artist and painter based in New York City who explores the relationship between color and memory.” – Caroline Kaufman

In The Start of the Day is the End of the Dream No. 2, repurposed materials layer color, texture, and pattern to capture the hazy threshold between waking and sleep.

Translating Caroline Kaufman’s synesthesia into visual language, this evocative textile composition explores how memory lingers in the subconscious. She asks, “what symbols or patterns remain on your eyelids before the full intensity of the day sets in?”

Baskets, by Oregon-based artist Nicky Statius, reflects on the cycle of life and what we truly hold onto as time passes.

Through delicate basketry, the artist transforms woven form into a holding vessel, not for material goods, but for shared memories, family stories, and the quiet comfort of human connection.
