Wanakena Historical Association

Wanakena Historical Association Historical Logging Village - Otto J Hamele Walking Tour Wanakena is a gateway to Adirondack Wilderness and once flourished with industries and tourism.

Established in 2000, the Wanakena Historical Association exists to inspire people's understanding of the history of this small 1902 logging village. The rich history of the area can be experienced on a pictorial walking tour across the suspension bridge and around the town.

We're excited to announce the launch of our newly redesigned website at:

www.wanakena.com!

Thanks to the skilled leadership of Annette Swartz and our talented in-house team, the Wanakena Historical Association has created a more engaging and user-friendly website while being excellent stewards of our organization's resources. We invite all members and friends of WHA to explore our refreshed online presence. Your historical association is now better equipped to share and preserve Clifton-Fine’s rich heritage.
