Ware Comedy Show returns! September 26, 7pm, in Workshop13's Grand Hall at 13 Church St.

The laughter begins the moment the lights come up at this year's Ware Comedy Show, an evening packed with some of the finest comedy talent in New England and beyond. Hosted by Dan Boulger, featuring openers Avery Quinn and Hilary Price and headliner Jake Silberman!

THE ANSWER IS...

The Thinker (Le Penseur) by Auguste Rodin.

Congratulations to everyone who guessed correctly!

Originally titled "The Poet," this famed Rodin sculpture was conceived as part of a set of bronze doors commissioned for a museum of decorative arts. Rodin designed "The Gates of Hell" for this project, depicting characters and moments from Dante's Inferno. "The Poet" was likely meant to represent Dante himself.

Unfortunately, the museum never came to be and Rodin's doors were never cast in his lifetime. Several pieces from this design - notably "The Thinker" and "The Kiss" - went on to be reworked separately from "The Gates" and became some of Rodin's most famous works.
