ly Gallery” in the little round building adjacent to her Warren home. Each artist has studio space at the new location; visitors are encouraged to venture beyond the front gallery and see the artists at work. Additional work by Karla Bove is on display, and photographs by Nickie Ioannidis will be added soon to the collection.

“We each have limited working space in our homes, so it’s great to have a larger dedicated studio space to work in,” said artist Liisa Colby, “Rita and Nickie have been working hard the last three weeks painting and fixing the place up – it really is beautiful now. I enjoy the camaraderie and seeing the other artists’ projects in development – it’s inspiring!”

There’s a nice mix of styles and medium: Rita’s work is exuberant and brightly colored, Ruth’s paintings and painted furniture consist of more subdued tones and realistic still lives and regional scenes. Dennis and Liisa both have a strong foundation in drawing, offering local landscapes and portraits, in a variety of medium. The Starving Artists Gang Studio and Gallery is open to Thursdays – Sundays from 11 am – 4 pm.
