We are saddened to hear of the passing of Anthony Watkins, a beloved artist at the Berkley Gallery since 2002. Soft spoken and unassuming, Anthony traveled extensively finding inspiration in the places and people of the everyday. His gift was the ability to observe and record through brush, color and light. Whether it was the dilapidated Virginia farm, the bitter cold of the Maine coast in winter, fishermen repairing nets or the summer bounty in the Spanish fields, he noticed all and made us notice too.
