In honor of Women’s History Month I would announce my 21st year in business for myself with my home portrait drawing company, Dorette Sketches. Yes, 21 years now! What started out as a hobby turned into a career for me that I am so honored to have!!!

My business has been based on building a standard, making new relationships among my community, committing to thrive even in tough economic times, being at my best with each drawing, keeping my doors open 365 days a year, performing under high demand pressure, and anything else that falls in-between the lines.

I’m proud to not only be a woman in this role, but an entrepreneur & owner!! It’s taken years and years to get this right and accommodate my market & clientele and keep my prices reasonable and affordable. My prices have not changed in over 3 years.

Thank you for continually reaching out to me for a one of a kind home portrait and helping me reach goals I set for myself. I appreciate all the shares and referrals too!! I’m sorry, I am closed taking orders for 2025. If you want to place an order for January 2026 please let me know. I will be returning back to drawing home portraits January 15th. I need to take the rest of 2025 finishing orders to have ready for my clients to gift for Christmas and I’m needing time to spend with my family for the holidays.
