Kurdistan map in french archives 16th century. Kurdistan then neighbored Roum, Anatolie, Cyprus, Cham, Iraq, Armenie, Aran & Mazandaran. Iraq covered parts of southern current Baghdad city & Southern Ahwaz region in current Iran. Turkey couldn’t be found anywhere.

October 8th, 1927 our colorful flag was raised for the first time by General Îhsan Nûrî Paşa on mountain Ararat under leadership of Xoybûn Party.

‏ There is a fact need to be corrected. This flag was neither designed nor raised for first time by Qazzi Mohammed of Mihabad Republic. We had enormous exceptional patriotic legendary leaders in our history, of course Qazzi is one of them. But we must give credit to the Xoyibun Party who designed our colorful flag with a sun and mount Cudi in the middle of it. And it was raised for the first time by General Îhsan Nûrî Paşa the president of Komara Araratê. This flag was first raised on the highest peak of mountain Ararat 1927 and it was the formal flag of Ararat State for three years until the brutal crackdown our troops in 1930 by savage Turks and international coalition.

‏The same flag was raised by Şehîd Qazzi Mohammed in Mihabad Republic 1947, 17 years later.
