Important Update: NOVA Open Capital Palette 2024 Registration and Submission Process

Dear NOVA Open Painters and Hobbyists,

We're excited to share an important update regarding the registration and submission process for the 2024 Capital Palette Miniature Art Show at NOVA Open.

This past weekend, NOVA Open and Emperor began a partnership to provide a more effective behind-the-scenes administration of the Capital Palette. Emperor is a web- based application whose purpose is to support Miniature Art Shows in running a more efficient and less error prone event. It was designed and built to support some of the largest miniature competitions in Europe including the World Model Expo, Kontrast, and Scale Model Challenge. The one key change from previous years is the online registration of all entries. This extra step will take less time than the previous system and will allow for label printing and expedited submissions.

All entries still need to be purchased through the Tabletop Events website using the following link: https://tabletop.events/conventions/nova-open-2024/merch/art-capital-palette-entry

After purchasing your entries in Tabletop Events, you must create an Emperor account and register your entries using this link: https://nova24.myemperor.app

IMPORTANT INFO YOU SHOULD KNOW !!
When creating an account In Emperor, you will receive a User ID. Even though this number will be tied to your Tabletop Events Badge number, you will need this User ID to drop off and pick up your entries. Having your User ID present during drop off will speed up the administrative process.

Instagram handle is not required for registration. If entering username please omit the “@”.

CAPITAL PALETTE!!!

You have seen the cases and heard the hype! The Capital Palette is bigger and better than ever! Our team has put together the largest open format miniatures painting contest in the US and we want you to check it out!

In our open forum competition, there can be multiple gold, silver, or bronze winners in each category, across 6 categories in each of the 3 entry Divisions: Apprentice, Journeyman, and Masters. Each submitting artists’ work is individually evaluated and receives the level of award the judges feel their work merits, without regard to the awards given to other pieces in the competition.

This year we have added multiple sponsored awards including a youth award. Remember, all youth convention passes come with a free entry to the art competition!
