Today is Indigenous Peoples' Day. At Peirce Mill, we're learning more about the first people to farm and mill on this land. Last spring, we planted Puhwem, a traditional variety of corn grown by Indigenous peoples of the Mid-Atlantic region.

Come to the Peirce Mill Grain Fair next Sunday, October 18, to see our Puhwem corn and discover the very long history of farming and milling in Washington, DC.
