Meet my daughter, Caroline Rey — the newest Naval Officer in our family.

From the fields where our family once cut sugar cane to the halls of leadership and service, the Rey Family legacy continues to rise. What once began with sacrifice, faith, and hard work has now produced another generation prepared to lead and serve this nation with honor.

This is the power of education. Education has the ability to transform not just one person, but an entire bloodline. When you trust God, stay disciplined, and keep pushing forward, generational change becomes possible.

Today, I am simply a proud father. Watching her reach this moment reminds me that every sacrifice, every prayer, and every long day was worth it.

The next chapter of the Rey Family legacy is loading… Stay tuned.

It’s time to give them their flowers!

The Golden Fourteen made history during World War I as the first Black women to serve in the U.S. Navy, paving the way even when their contributions went overlooked for far too long.

SgtMaj Donna "Dee" Dunbar, USMC, (Ret.)

Words cannot express how much pain your family and friends are feeling. Today, the Marine Corps truly felt your rath. You left a gaping hole that will never be filled by anyone! You were a vibrant woman who was ahead of her time. Your smile lit up a dark room and your glow was captivating! Rest peacefully, my friend. You will be truly missed!!! -D. E. Patton
