For 43 years, KanKouran has brought generations together through the movement, rhythm, history, and traditions of African dance and music.
This weekend, that legacy continues with SUNU GAAL — “Our Boat.”
From September 4–6, dancers, drummers, teachers, companies, and cultural practitioners from across the country and West Africa converge in Washington, DC for the 43rd Annual National African Dance & Drum Conference — one of the largest gatherings of its kind in the United States.
