Located in Washington, DC, the Studio House at Walbridge is open to the public by appointment and made available through a private trust established for the display of artwork created by David Bethuel Jamieson (1963-1992) in the artist's last studio house. Part of my work curating this private studio-based collection involves identifying and developing community connections to the artist and his o

euvre, documenting significant events and relationships in the artist's lifetime, the compilation of a catalogue raisonee, conservation, and public placement of works.

Winter Aconites (Genus Aranthis) on view with Nessar Jahanbin, Hilda Mason Door, FEMA, on the porch at Walbridge. From the artist, “DC Water readopted 6 FEMA doors for the Bryant St Filtration Station after the project on Adams St and North Bloomingdale was over. I [Jahanbin] painted 33 FEMA doors in total for the clean rivers act [Clean Water Act].” NB: During the period of David’s estrangement from Hilda and Charlie, he canvassed door-to-door between 1981 and 1983, for Clean Water Act!
