Among the treasures in Hillwood’s collection are two imperial Easter eggs, created by Peter Carl Fabergé, born in 1846. While running the Firm of Fabergé from 1882 to 1920, he made fifty of these eggs, reflecting all manner of styles and often including surprises inside. Stop by the Icon Room to view the Twelve Monograms Egg and Catherine the Great Egg! (The beautiful clock, also by Fabergé, is currently on view in the special exhibition "On Time: Giving Form to the Fleeting.")

Bathroom goals ✨ This one, located off of Marjorie Post’s bedroom and renovated in the 1950s, features Post’s favorite color, pink, which was experiencing a revival at the time. The color is everywhere from the wallpaper to the marble to the toilet to the hand towels, which feature Post’s monogram.
