I designed another bus shelter! It just got installed.
It is located on Old Triangle Rd at Steele Ct, Dumfries, VA.
On Thursday, June 29, 2023, Keep Prince William Beautiful (KPWBorg), together with the town of and , hosted the unveiling of the Dumfries Bus Shelter Beautification Project. This project has transformed designated bus shelters in the Town into canvases of public art designed by local artists. It includes a litter removal program and is intended to improve the community and ridership experience.

Tomorrow the District Department of Transportation and Mayor Bowser bring Open Streets to Wisconsin Avenue in Tenleytown and Friendship Heights! Join us from 9 am to 1 pm and view the new temporary art installation featuring artist Tamao Nakayama at the Tenleytown-AU Metro station.

Tenleytown Main Street, in partnership with WMATA's Art in Transit program, installed the artwork affixed to the wooden construction barricades surrounding the east station entrance. The piece will remain up during the ongoing escalator replacement and repair project.

🎊 My first public art was just installed. It’s really cool to see the bus station. I was very happy to be involved in Keep Prince William Beautiful bus shelter beautification program. The bus stop I designed is across from Woodbridge high-school, so I wanted to design something colorful and joyful for kids. I made this artwork, “Seven Animals On A Path To The River “, with the idea of promoting the beauty of Virginia’s wildlife. I hid small animals in the colorful forest, so people can have fun finding 👀them. I hope my work enhances people’s everyday lives and raises public awareness about environmental stewardship🌱🌿🌳.
