The Celts believed there were “thin places”…
where heaven and earth draw close.
Tonight, this river feels like one of them—
light pouring down, water shimmering,
peace settling deep in the soul.
God’s peace flows like a river…
and for a moment, I can feel it.
This one is calling to be painted.

Sometimes the quietest moments speak the loudest.

I’ve been working on a small series of watercolor pieces that feel like little whispers… gentle reminders found in nature. Birds standing in still water, a humble snail moving at its own pace, mushrooms growing where no one is looking—each one carrying a message:
“I am learning to trust quiet moments.”
“Home is in hidden places…”
“Wherever I go, stillness speaks.”
“The soul takes root.”
These will be turned into bookmarks—small companions to tuck into the pages of your life, or to gift to someone who needs a bit of peace.
You’ll be able to find them soon at Kaleidoscope ll in Washington, PA, along with some of my other pieces.
I think we all need reminders like this… to slow down, to listen, and to trust the stillness.
✨ Which one speaks to you the most?
