In about an hour I'll be firing up the forge to finish up the ladle for my chili cookoff/birthday party, as well as continuing work on the guard of an arming sword I forgot was laying around the shop. Probably going to do a heat treatment on it tonight too, starting between 530 and 6. Watch for the link here!

As part of my live demos, I often have mentioned my poor and abused Rav4 that I would tetris the entire shop and all my merch into the back. Well, it's gotten its retirement. It was a good car that I managed to put 150k miles on in a short time. I'm surprised I didn't blow out the suspension. I traded it in for a new compact truck soooo, I guess I'm gonna have to find a new joke. By the way, if anyone knows of a nice small enclosed trailer for sale, I'm looking.

And that is the season. Thank you so much to everyone who we met, and everyone that had come out to the fairs we went to this year. It's been a great year with a few new events and locations. I would like to thank all the venues that allowed me to set up my forge, make a bunch of noise, smoke out the other vendors, have a bunch of fun, and occasionally leave scortch marks on what's left of their grass where I was working. I would especially like to thank Jessica, who makes it so I can concentrate on the art of hitting hot metal by manning the merch tent. Now to take a weekend or 2, take stock, and begin preparing for next year.
I will still be doing the weekly Twitch streams, Tuesday nights 6 PM...ish. Log on, say hi, and watch this wisconsin blacksmith in his native habitat. There may be a big new piece of equipment coming this off season, keep checking in.
