For a $5 donation you can now get "The Dewart Creamery." This is a 35-page booklet printed in full color on the Dewart Creamery building. Many never-before-seen pictures and information on what used to be one of the largest creameries in Pennsylvania.

The Citizen's Coronet Band of Allenwood will hold a festival on Saturday evening, July 20th.

Strawberries sold on the street this week at ten cents per box.

Adam Krebs of Milton, a veteran of the Civil War, recently received a check from the US government for $1.72 balance due him for services up to the time of his discharge in 1865.

For sale-A good young cow, fresh with second calf. Josiah Diehl, Eighth Street, Watsontown.

"Eddie" the versatile porter at the Mansion House, has opened a shoe-shine parlor at that popular hostelry and is ready and willing at all times to give a first-class shine for the small sum of five cents.

The Heilman building in Williamsport is being built with Watsontown brick. (located at 101 W. 3rd Street) The company is producing forty-five thousand bricks daily to fill the order.

Record & Star June 18, 1909:

A Boss Brown Trout

The largest trout taken out of the White Deer creek this season, and possibly for many years, was caught Tuesday evening by Dr. E. L. Housel. The trout is of the brown species and measured nineteen inches in length. It only surrendered after a struggle lasting fully fifteen minutes and put up a game fight. It was caught on a minnow. Fifteen other trout were caught by the Dr., all above average in size, but they looked small along side the big one.

(Edgar Lincoln Housel (1866-1924), son of Dr. Joseph Housel and Rebecca Housel, née Smith, graduated from Pennsylvania Dental School, Philadelphia, in 1888, and joined his father at Watsontown in the same year. His father Joseph, a Civil War veteran, was a dentist in McEwensville until 1878 when they moved to Watsontown)

A safe and sane Fourth of July would be about as interesting as a quilting party.

Inspect the cellar often, and never allow animal or vegetable matter to decay there.

Thank your stars you do not have a circus to manage these days.

It is easy to see how the airship, in the event of war, could sail over a hostile city and put the inhabitants thereof to flight with a shower of cold storage eggs.
