Sitting here on this cozy autumn day and the house is quiet. It’s been filled with company, laughter, pumpkin carving, quilting, unpacking boxes, rearranging and figuring out how to live in this house. It’s a rental house, and last week we had an inspection. I was encouraged to really make it ours, and that everything that we’ve done has only brought up the value of the place. 😍 This made me so happy and was exactly the permission slip I needed.

I’m contemplating how we want to live here, how we love to entertain, and how we want it to feel when loved ones come and fill this place with the true meaning of home and creativity.

My first mini quilt is done and just in time to share at quilt club tonight. It’s wabi sabi, a little bit crooked, and is making me happy. 🧵😍🍄 I also envisioned it as a wall hanging with the Smartist | Art Visualization App (and of course the abstract side has to hang on a pink wall)

Tonight I’m dressing up as an abstract painting. 🎨🫟🖌️ Ellen is going to be a teddy bear hug. 🧸 🤗 I’ll take photos to share. 📸

You’re my favorite. I’m sitting in the reading chair in my studio, listening to Theo The Golden on 🎧audio book.

I decided to make a fourth scribbled love note. You are my favorite happy dance is my morning expression of this last long weekend of summer. Had the whole crew here on Friday, and now the house is quiet.

Emma stopped by for breakfast, and gave me a creative pep talk. My heart is overflowing, so I made these love notes big enough to fill up two yards of petal cotton and uploaded them to my Spoonflower shop. I ordered myself two yards of HAPPY petal signature cotton. ✨

Hooray! 🥳 Ellen and I created an Etsy shop called the Bear Hugs collection and launched it yesterday. It’s filled with vintage teddy bears from Ellen’s collection, handmade quilts, quilted wall hangings, and my illustrated Christmas cards. We will be adding more to the shop in the coming days.

Today, we packaged up our first sale, wrote a thank you card, and I dropped it off at the post office. 👋📦

This challenge has been just the dose of joy I’ve needed during a big transition. Thank you so much Jill and all the artists posting. I’ve loved seeing everyone’s creativity in my feed.

I haven’t posted much these last two weeks, but we have had lots of showings and our home was staged, and I had to be out of the house a lot. 😍 We have an accepted offer on our house! 🥳 We will be packing up our house these next few weeks to start a new adventure in an old house about fifteen minutes from here. It has a sun porch, lots of charm, and a room to paint in.

Before I start filling boxes, I wanted to express all the feels I have about our new move. 🌼

It’s such a wonderful feeling when you look up at the painting you did of your irises while having your morning tea, and then look outside to see the irises that are in the painting all opened up last night. 😍💛 Happy Sunday.

For , I’m off to a giant flea market today to find collage supplies and who knows!!! All the amazing collages I’m seeing are so inspiring! Eeeek.
