What a FABULOUS day at the Inaugural OHC We Love Literacy Book Festival!! We had SO many book lovers of ALL ages come out and enjoy a beautifully chilly day! Thank you to Elizabeth Sharrock Rodriguez Pond, Book Festival Facilitator for ALL her hard work in making this a HUGE Success!! We were honored to have members of the Georgia Council for the Arts attend and show their support. Thanks to the authors who came out to share their books, and to those who also presented workshops. We appreciate the Waycross Ware County Public Library and the Pierce County Public Library, GA bringing books and fun games for the kids. Thanks to the amazing vendors and to WayGreen for the yummy food! Thank you to the very helpful BETA/NHS students for volunteering, and for our wonderful OHC Volunteers. The OHC Art Guild, OHC Photography Guild and SG Modern Quilt Guild were on hand to invite attendees to join these wonderful guilds. What a treat to have Bluey, Sparky and the Waycross Police Department Team and Pogo come out and add FUN to the event. We are grateful for ALL of the fabulous door prize donations!! Congratulations to the Costume Contest winners!! We appreciate Tyler Hayes and boys for their peppy and festive music. Thanks again to our sponsors, Waycross Convention & Visitors Bureau, Scholastic Books, Coca-Cola Waycross and Ellianos Coffee Co. of Waycross! We could NOT have done it without YOU!!
