Rice bags! Great g🎁ft idea or get one to keep yourself warm. Multiple colors of many designs. 2 sizes. Some are empty and can be filled without lavender if you like.

My name is Amy Jo and here is a bit about me💛

We all have a story, and mine has taken turns I never expected. For 26 years, I worked as a Licensed Massage Therapist—a career I built from the ground up and poured my heart into. It was not just a job but a calling, a gift I felt God gave me. Unfortunately, after a shoulder injury and surgery that didn’t heal as hoped, my career in massage therapy came to a heartbreaking end.

Creating has always been woven into my life. For over 25 years I’ve expressed myself through card making, scrapbooking, sewing, and mixed media art. My mom taught me how to sew, which led to my rice bags and countless other projects. From paper to fabric, I love exploring new mediums and following the spark of inspiration wherever it leads.

Though I’m naturally a perfectionist, art has taught me to embrace the beauty of imperfection. Every piece I make is hand-cut, full of vibrant colors and patterns that reflect the energy and joy I see in life. Color is life—and blending textures, hues, and designs brings me peace and fulfillment.

This new chapter hasn’t been easy—balancing motherhood to five growing kids, healing from chronic pain, and grieving the loss of a career I loved. Each creation is part of my healing, both physically and emotionally. Through The Wandering Poppy Shoppe, I hope to share that joy, resilience, and beauty with you.

May the pieces you find here brighten your day, bring warmth to your home, and remind you—just as they remind me—that even in unexpected seasons, life can bloom in beautiful ways.
