Jane and Bob Watson conducted an after hours tour of the Summit Art Gallery for Cub Scout Pack 234 on September 22nd.
The tour was to satisfy a requirement for the Pack to tour an art gallery. All of the children pictured are Cub Scouts.
The Pack meets in Weirton.

Joyce Beatty and Nancy Wright are inviting you to their "RUSTIC IMPRESSIONS" art show on Thursday, September 9th from 6pm to 8pm at MARTHA'S GALLERY located at 736 Charles St, Wellsburg. WV. Both artists work in acrylics and mixed mediums. In addition to paintings, Joyce will be bringing her RUSTIC PUMPKIN SCARECROWS, all dressed for fall and Nancy will be featuring vintage hand painted floor and place mats. Guests will enjoy an array of unique finger foods prepared by food artist, "Darcy" Both artist's work can be seen at the Summit Art Gallery in Weirton, WV. Nancy, a former art teacher at St Joseph's school in Weirton, also displays her art in the Chester Library and in Morganton NC. Joyce has received awards for her work at the Steubenville Art Association's spring show and at the New Cumberland Riverfest art show.

Paul Cowey has joined the exhibition! See works by these local artists at the Summit Art Gallery on August 31! More details in the comments below.

“The mountains are calling, and I must go.” – John Muir.
The mountains are calling and a few artists that reside in West Virginia, or once did have answered.
The Summit Art Gallery will be hosting an art show on Tuesday August, 31 from 6pm-8pm with the title “Made in the Mountains”. This gallery is housed inside of the Top of WV Convention and Visitors Bureau at 3539 Main Street Weirton, WV. This gathering will showcase the work of four artists that are well acquainted with the mountain state: Emily Cowey, Paul Cowey, Robert Joseph, Ralph Cale, and Sarah Cale. There are two father and daughter duos in this show, but they create using totally different types of art styles. The other artists do not fail to showcase incredible talent of their own style as well.
The artists bring a wide variety of mediums to the table.. or wall.. such as paintings, graphite pencil drawings, photography, silkscreen printmaking, and pottery.

The Summit Art Gallery’s grand opening has been rescheduled for Tuesday, August 17 th from 5:30 to 8:30 PM at the new location in The Top of West Virginia CVB building at 3539 Main St., Weirton West Virginia.
