Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center gathers, engages, and educates people to celebrate and preserve the history, arts, sciences, and rich diversity of our region. Learn about the earth-shattering power of the Great Missoula Flood and how our region was carved and shaped by cataclysmic forces. Discover the famed Clovis Points and learn about the indigenous stonemasons who created these (then)

state-of-the-art spearpoints coveted by tribes all across North America. Learn about the first Western explorers to paddle these shores and the settlers who homesteaded here. Consider the wild landscape that coast-to-coast railroads, an agricultural revolution and the building of the dams transformed into one of the top fruit producing regions in the world. Expand your mind, explore your imagination and get in touch with the roots of our region at the Museum! The Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that operates with the support of the cities of Wenatchee and East Wenatchee. We are located in the heart of downtown Wenatchee in two federal style buildings that formerly housed the Wenatchee Post Office & Annex. Admission:

Don't miss your chance to peek inside some of the Wenatchee Valley's most notable historic properties. The annual Historic Home Tour begins tomorrow at 10am. This self-guided tour is organized by the City of Wenatchee Historic Preservation Board and Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center. It is intended to recognize and celebrate a variety of historic homes and buildings preserved in our community.

This is an opportunity for the public to familiarize themselves with the value of historic preservation and to foster an appreciation for the aesthetic character and heritage of the Wenatchee Valley.

In 1914, the Wenatchee Daily World reported that Seattle promoters would “build a structure of great beauty that will last a thousand years or more.” The Beaux Arts style structure built of sandstone with a white marble interior and formaldehyde gas system was designed to house 208 of the city’s most important residents.

Presented in partnership with the City of Wenatchee Historic Preservation Board, this self-guided tour through Wenatchee’s historic landmarks highlights homes and properties listed on the Wenatchee Register of Historic Places and homes of historical significance.
